Workshop “Lung Tung – enjoying the Full Moon Festival”

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, the school organized a workshop called “Lùng Tùng – Enjoy the Full Moon Festival” with Mrs. Huong, the only person who keeps the Lung Tùng Drum (Lùng Tung Drum) craft in Hue.

Although they have participated in many workshops before, the children are always eager to experience a new activity. At the workshop, Mrs. Huong shared her valuable experiences as well as the story of preserving her long-standing Lung Tùng Drum craft. Under the enthusiastic guidance of Mrs. Huong and the uncles and aunts in the Journeys in Hue organization, the children learned how to apply glue, stretch the drum surface, and stick mice to create unique sounds. When holding the results of their own work in their hands, the joy and excitement were evident on the faces of each child.

Through experiential activities, the children not only practiced their dexterity, patience and cooperation, but also cultivated their love and pride for the folk cultural values and the beauty that makes up the identity of their homeland.

Lam Ty Ni Kindergarten would like to express our deep gratitude to Mrs. Huong and the uncles and aunts in the Journeys in Hue organization for accompanying and bringing meaningful experiences to the children. At the same time, the school also sincerely thanks the parents for taking the time to participate and share the joy with the children.
