✨ Joining in the festive atmosphere, the classes explored interesting topics surrounding the traditional Lunar New Year 🧧🎊. The Lotus and Porcelain Flower classes had previously learned about banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cake) using all their senses 👀✋👃: seeing, touching, smelling, and naming the familiar ingredients that make up this meaningful cake 🍃🍚🥩.
With the dedicated support of parents in preparing the ingredients 💞, and the companionship of older students and the “experts” from the Porcelain and Lotus Flower classes, the children had a truly fulfilling and joyful banh chung-making experience 😊🎁.
Through each leaf and each handful of rice 🍃🍚, the children gradually began to visualize how to create a perfectly square banh chung (Vietnamese sticky rice cake) 🟩, filled with the flavors of Tet (Vietnamese New Year) and so much love 💚🥰🎋
